Senior Development Manager, Westminster City Council
Wei studied architecture and planning at Bristol before completing his master’s degree in construction economics and management at UCL. He started his career in architecture and urban design prior to moving into property development. He is now working for Westminster City Council to manage its mixed-use regeneration projects lead by housing, commercial, leisure and education.
Before joining Westminster, Wei helped a foreign investor establish their London office whilst overseeing their major regeneration scheme. Wei is a firm believer of the value of good design and always insists on innovative thinking during the development process. Wei is particularly interested in history, art and culture and he loves to visit galleries and museums in his free time. He is also keen to explore the impact of globalisation to the property development and construction process, having investigated the cross-culture impact on development projects in London for his dissertation.
